Amazing view I can't even put into words how awesome it was then the food was also so good... $20 locals deal including a barista made coffee the choices were great. “ The Oak & Vine restaurant opened to incredible views of the ocean and hills. Staff were friendly and approachable, and seated us to our table. The table itself, like most of the furniture in the restaurant however, was old, uneven and wonky, and moved left and right throughout the service, which was really annoying trying not to spill drinks. I recommend the furniture gets a revamp as this let the overall atmosphere down, though such a stunning view. Food was good, nothing incredible about it. Looked good and on the slightly pricey end but overall quite fair. Tacos had great pork belly but lacked sauce content and tasted dry. Menu is quite boring and didn’t consist of anything great to choose from on the Mains options. No chicken options on the mains menu. Overall, a stunning view, average food and decent service. I recommend this for a catch up with friends or even a date. Lot that can be worked on however, beginning with the furniture (this has been mentioned in other reviews). Thanks. ”

“ This is a beautiful spot! Great views and lots of seating options. We tried their taco Tuesday and it was nice and fresh but nothing amazing but you can’t go wrong for the price (3 for $16). Bit disappointing that u can’t mix and match and get one of 3 different tacos you have to buy a plate of 3 of the same, but they came out within 10minutes of ordering which was great because the line up to order was at least 10mins long. There QR code to order at the table doesn’t seem to be working which is a shame. I had their cairns cha cha cocktail which was average. All in all it was nice experience and the staff were friendly, would definitely go back but I now know what to expect. ”

“ We are currently staying at Oaks Cairns Hotel, and on our first night we went up and had a meal at the rooftop restaurant and it was amazing. There was an engagement party going on (which wasn’t an issue to us!) and we were seated close by to the event. Thanks to Charline and Kapeal (sorry if spelling of names is wrong) for catering for us. They were both very accommodating with the situation and even gave us a free desert which was unreal. The food was overall a 10/10. Would definitely go back. ”

“ This place is an oasis on the busy esplanade with spectacular views. We enjoyed a bottle of Rosé and their lunch special club sandwich and chicken skewers. The $25 lunch special is excellent value (small selection of meals plus a beer, wine or soft drink). The sandwich was a really good, classic club with a generous side of chips. The chicken yakitori skewers with Asian fried rice were perfectly cooked and tasty. Both meals were of a good size. The service was excellent, the view and setting is hard to beat. We’ll be back for sure. ”
